ANGOLA, Ind. — The Trine University cheerleaders and dance team will host two upcoming events in the community for area children.
Trine University cheerleaders will host a "Little Bolts" children's cheer camp from 12:30-4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, in Hershey Hall. The Trine High Voltage Dance Team will host a children's "Storm Troopers" dance camp from 12:30-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Hershey Hall.
The cost for the camps individually are $35. If both camp packages are purchased, attendees will receive $10 off the Storm Troopers camp. Checks should be made payable to "TRINE UNIVERSITY CHEER AND DANCE" and mailed to ATTN: Coach Shea Sims, Trine University, One University Avenue, Angola, IN 46703.
The camp packages include a T-shirt, memory DVD, lunch, entry to the Trine men's basketball game at 3 p.m. on the respective camp dates, halftime performance, V.I.P seating, locker room access, team run out, technique class, dance class, cheer and chant (for Little Bolts), and performances by the cheer and dance teams.
All funds raised from the "Little Bolts" cheer camp will go toward Trine Cheer's trip to nationals in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in the spring. Funds raised from the "Storm Troopers" dance camp will go toward Trine Dance's trip to national competition in Anaheim, California, in the spring.
The camps are open to children ages 3-12.
The deadline to register for "Little Bolts" cheer camp is Monday, Jan. 30. The deadline to register for "Storm Troopers" dance camp is Monday, Feb. 6. T-shirts are not guaranteed to those who register after the deadline.
