FREELAND, Mich. -- The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has made changes to the location of this year's MIAA Jamboree and Championship cross country races, the conference announced today.

This year's MIAA Jamboree will now be hosted by Hope College in Holland, Mich., rather than Saint Mary's College as previously scheduled. The race remains scheduled for Saturday, Sep. 23. The MIAA Championship race has been moved from Kalamazoo College and will now be hosted by Adrian College in Adrian, Mich. The race will take place Saturday, Oct. 28 as previously scheduled. As with the Jamboree, the women's race begins at 11 a.m., followed by the men at noon and the awards ceremony at 1 p.m. The Championship results make up the remaining count in the final standings.

The 2018 cross country season will see the Jamboree hosted by Saint Mary's College and the Championship by Kalamazoo College.

The Trine men's cross country team has placed third in the MIAA each of the past two seasons. The women's team placed fourth in the MIAA for the second consecutive season.

The Thunder cross country teams open the season Friday, Sep. 1 at Manchester University's Hokum Karem.
