A Look at the Week Ahead: February 9-15

ANGOLA, Ind.-- Take a look at the upcoming schedule and a preview of the week ahead in Trine Thunder athletics.

Tuesday

Wrestling: Trine at Olivet, 7:30 p.m.
A busy week for Thunder wrestling kicks off with a dual at Olivet. Trine is 2-9 in duals this season, and is coming off a 30-10 loss to Alma. Mack Green, Brandon Preston and Michael Conner picked up wins in that match. The Comets are ranked 26th in the nation by the NWCA and are 7-12 in duals this season.

Wednesday

Women's Basketball: Trine at Olivet, 7:30 p.m.
A key game in the race for the MIAA playoffs, as the Thunder lead the Comets by one game in hunt for the fourth seed in the conference tournament. An Olivet victory would give the Comets the advantage in any tiebreak scenario between the two teams. The Thunder will be fresh off a Saturday bye, and beat Albion 64-42 in their last game.

Men's Basketball: Trine at Alma, 7:30 p.m.
The Thunder enter the week tied for first-place, while the Scots are fighting for the fourth-seed in the MIAA tournament. Trine won the first meeting of the season, 69-55. Alma has won three of their last four, including an upset victory over Calvin.

Thursday

Wrestling: Trine at Wabash, 7 p.m.
The second dual of the week sees the Thunder hit the road to face the Little Giants, who are ranked third in the nation by the NWCA.

Saturday

Wrestling: Trine at Mid-States Invitational, 9 a.m.
The tournament will be the second trip the Thunder will make to Olivet this week. The open tournament features competitors from five other schools- Wabash, Alma, Heidelberg, Olivet, and Ohio Northern.

Men's Basketball: Trine at Calvin, 3 p.m.
This game could very well be a battle for sole possession of first-place in the league, depending on the outcomes of Wednesday night's games. The two teams enter the week tied for the top spot in the MIAA. The Thunder earned a 62-47 victory over the Knights earlier this season in Hershey Hall.

Women's Basketball: Trine at Adrian, 7 p.m.
The Thunder wrap up the week with their final road game of the regular-season. Trine earned a 59-50 victory in the first meeting this season.
