A Look at the Week Ahead: October 13-19

ANGOLA, IND.-- A busy Saturday of home events highlights the upcoming week for Trine Thunder Athletics. Read on to take a look at the upcoming schedule and brief look at the week ahead.

Tuesday

Women's soccer: Trine at Hope, 5 p.m.
The Thunder travel up to Holland to face the MIAA-leading Flying Dutchmen. Trine keeper Skyler Reed is coming off her fourth shutout of the season, the most by any Thunder keeper in the Division-III era.

Volleyball: St. Mary's at Trine, 7 p.m.
Conference play resumes as the Thunder welcome the Belles to Hershey Hall. Trine has won their last five matches, and 15-consecutive sets. The Thunder are coming off a 4-0 weekend at the UMASS-Boston Beacon Invitational.

Wednesday

Men's Soccer: Olivet at Trine, 4 p.m.
The Comets came back from down two goals to defeat the Thunder in the first match between the two teams this season.

Friday

Volleyball: Trine at Adrian, 6:30 p.m.
Conference play continues for the Thunder with a match against the Bulldogs. Trine defeated Adrian in four sets in the first meeting between the two teams this season.

Saturday

Cross Country: Trine at UW-Oshkosh Brooks Invitational, 10 a.m.
The cross country teams pick up another race after a week off. The men are coming off a first-place finish in the Grace Lancer Invitational, while the women placed third in the event.

Women's Soccer: Trine at Adrian, 12 p.m.
An early Bulldog goal was the difference in the first meeting between the two teams this season, and the Thunder will be looking to avenge the loss.

Volleyball: Hope at Trine, 1 p.m.
The top-ranked Flying Dutchmen come to town in a match that will serve as a benefit for Rett Syndrome. The Thunder are one of just two conference teams to win a set against Hope this season.

Football: Concordia (Wisc.) at Trine, 1 p.m.
The Thunder get a break from conference play following a thrilling come-from-behind victory at Olivet as they welcome the Falcons to Shive Field and Fred Zollner Athletic Stadium. Concordia is coming off a 62-24 victory over Aurora, and is 0-1 against MIAA teams this season. The all-time series is knotted at 1-1 after Trine pulled out a 47-41 victory at home last season.

Women's Golf: Trine University Fall Classic, 1 p.m.
After finishing fourth in the MIAA to earn a bid to the spring MIAA National Qualifier, the Thunder wrap up the fall season on Fred Zollner Golf Course. Thunder golfers Amy Worthington (First-Team) and Julia DeBelly (Second-Team) each earned All-MIAA recognition.

Men's Soccer: Adrian at Trine, 2:30 p.m.
The Thunder will look to avenge a previous 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs.
