Acrobatics & Tumbling Falls in Tri-Match, Records Season High Score

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Trine University acrobatics and tumbling team came up short in a tri-match featuring Concordia University Wisconsin and hosts Adrian College. Despite the third place finish the team finished with a season-high score of 192.940.

The Falcons finished the contest in first with a score of 238.985, just surpassing the home Bulldogs who finished with a score of 232.655.

The Thunder were unable to take first in any of the heats during the night, but did come in second during the trio pass heat of the tumbling event when they scored 6.6, coming in ahead of Concordia Wisconsin who finished with a 6.4 and just behind Adrian who finished with a 6.95.

In addition to their overall tally, Trine turned in a season-best in the team event where they posted a score of 63.29, more than ten points better than their second-best posting.

The Thunder will finish off their season on Saturday, April 10 when they travel to Concordia University Wisconsin to compete in another tri-match. That match is set to begin at 1 p.m.
