Trine Baseball Adds Krumlauf to Coaching Staff

ANGOLA, IND.  --  The Trine University baseball program has announced the addition of Cody Krumlauf to its coaching staff as an assistant coach.  In addition to his general assistant duties, Krumlauf will focus in hitting and working with the catchers.

Krumlauf is a 2017 graduate of Earlham College where he earned a bachelor's degree in political science and was a four-year member of the Quaker baseball team.  During his playing career, Krumlauf was a multi-All-Conference award winner, including first-team honors as a senior, and played in 133 career games with 123 starts.  He finished with a .283 lifetime batting average with 130 career hits in 460 at-bats.  He hit eight homeruns, three triples, 24 doubles, scored 88 runs and drove in 79 runs.  In addition, he recorded 11 stolen bases and had a .979 career fielding percentage.  Krumlauf left his name in the Earlham baseball record books with the fifth most plate appearances in a single season with 169 during his senior year.

Following his playing career at Earlham, Krumlauf went on to play for the Railcats of the American Association of Professional Baseball in Gary, Ind. and also with the Shawnburg Boomers of the Frontier League in the Independent Professional Baseball Federation.

Krumlauf then returned to his alma mater last year and served as an assistant coach working with the hitters and catchers before coming to Trine.
