Thunder Storm Past Hoosiers

ANGOLA, IND. -- The Trine men's ACHA D2 hockey team roar back from an early one-goal deficit to defeat Indiana University by the score of 6-1.

Just 36 seconds into the game, the Hoosiers scored the first goal of the contest. Forward Austin Eng scored the goal. It would be Indiana's lone goal of the contest.

The Thunder would respond with the next six goals spread out over the course of the rest of the game. Three Trine skaters would finish the night with three points. Junior forward Braeden Pearl (Orignal, Ontario) finished with a team-high two goals in the contest. Both sophomore forward Nick Anderson (Sacramento, Calif.) and freshman defender Cody Dombrowski (Davie, Fla.) would finish the night with one goal and one assist. 

Freshman forward Brandon Bornkamp would score the Thunder's second goal of the contest which would turn out to be the game-winner.

After allowing the early goal, junior Tyler Hough would keep the Hoosiers out of the net for the rest of the night. He finished with 21 saves in the game.

Trine will look for the weekend sweep tomorrow, Nov. 18 at 3 p.m. when they once again take on Indiana at the Thunder Ice Arena.
