Hough Named Second Team All-Central

TROY, Mich. – Trine University ACHA Hockey senior goalkeeper Tyler Hough (Mount Airy, Md.) has been named Second Team All-Central Region by the American Collegiate Hockey Association, the association announced today.

Hough led the way for the Thunder this season receiving the most minutes among active goalies for the team. He finished the regular season with a 9-3 record, 328 saves and a .943 save percentage all best on the team. His 1.79 goals-against average was best on the team among goalies receiving more than two appearances on the season.

Perhaps his best play of the season came during the Central Regional, where he led the way in goal for the Thunder as the team earned their second straight berth in the ACHA D2 National Championship Tournament. During his two games of work, Hough finished with two wins behind the strength of 70 saves.

The Thunder finished the regular season with a 21-9 overall record and were ranked third in the central region. They will travel to Dallas, Texas this weekend to compete in the ACHA D2 National Championship Tournament beginning with pool play. Their first contest comes on Friday, March 22 against the University of Northern Colorado at 10 a.m. CDT.
