ACHA D3 Storms Past Ball State

ANGOLA, IND. -- The Trine men's ACHA D3 hockey defeated Ball State University this afternoon by the score of 8-1.

The Thunder's top line of Jacob Ruelle, Adam Bedford, and Jacob Yehle made their presence felt in the contest by accounting for six of the teams eight goals. Each of the forwards finished the game with two goals. Bedford added an assist and Ruelle added two assists, but it was Yehle who led the team in points and assists by adding three assists to his two goals.

Cameron Bopp was the final Trine skater to finish with a multi-point game by finishing with two assists.

Justin Savage played all 60 minutes of the game in goal. He would make 33 saves in the contest allowing only one goal which came in the third period with the result of the game already mostly decided.

The Thunder next take the ice on Friday, Nov. 3 at 8:00 p.m. when they travel to face Ferris State University in the first of two contests with the Bulldogs.
