ANGOLA, IND.-- The Trine football team has released its 2014 schedule, the team announced Friday.

Five of Trine's 10 games will be played at home in Fred Zollner Athletic Stadium. The season kicks off under the lights on Friday, Sep. 5 at Manchester University. The two teams continue the tradition of meeting in the season-opener for the ninth-consecutive season. The Thunder have won the last seven meetings in the series. The season kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Trine finished last season 4-6 overall and 1-5 in the MIAA.

The home opener for the Thunder will come Saturday, Sep. 13 when they host Milliken. The game is part of a scheduling agreement between the MIAA and CCIW. The game will be the first meeting all-time between the Thunder and Big Blue. Kick-off is slated for 1:00 p.m.

Also highlighting the non-conference slate is a trip to Rockford on Sep. 20. The two teams have never met. The Thunder will host Concordia (Wisc.) Oct. 18. The two teams have split a pair of meetings over the last two seasons.
