Trine opens the season next Friday, Sep. 5 at Manchester. Kickoff against the Spartans is set for 7:30 p.m. The two teams have met in the last eight season-openers, with Trine claiming victories in the last seven. The Thunder won last season's meeting by a 19-3 final.
