ANGOLA, Ind.-- Trine's Mark Wilson is a finalist for HERO Sports "Hero of the Week" award, which allows fans the opportunity to recognize the top football performance of the week in NCAA Division III.

Wilson was named an "Offensive Stud of the Week" by HEROSports for his MIAA and school-record rushing performance in Saturday's comeback victory over no. 22 Albion. Wilson set new conference and school marks with 327 rushing yards on 46 carries. He tied a team record with five rushing touchdowns.
Wilson's exploits also earned him MIAA Offensive Player of the Week honors. The sophomore has rushed for 424 yards and eight touchdowns in the last five quarters Trine has played.
The Thunder have a matchup with conference-foe Kalamazoo looming this Saturday, Oct. 31. Kickoff in Fred Zollner Athletic Stadium is set for 1 p.m.
Trine carries a 4-3 overall record and 2-1 MIAA mark into the contest. The Hornets are 2-5 overall, 0-3 in conference play.
