Barnett recorded a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown this past week in Trine's 56-21 victory against Albion (Mich.) College in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener to help the Thunder remain undefeated on the season (5-0).  Barnett's return was one of two return attempts on the day and finished with an overall total of 108 return yards.  His 95-yard TD tied him for the third longest kickoff return in program history.

In addition to his kickoff return, Barnett caught four passes for a season-high 150 yards and had a career-high three TD receptions.  It marked the second time this season that Barnett has caught multiple TD passes in a game.  Through five games, Barnett leads the team in all receiving categories including: catches (17), yards (359), yards per catch (21.1), touchdowns (six) and yards per game (71.8).

Trine will play its next two games at home, beginning with a MIAA matchup against Kalamazoo (Mich.) College on Saturday, Oct. 14.  The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at Fred Zollner Athletic Stadium.
