ANGOLA, IND.  --  The Trine University football team will host St. Norbert (Wis.) College in a first round game of the 2018 NCAA Division III National Tournament next Saturday (Nov. 17) at Fred Zollner Athletic Stadium.

[2018 Tournament Bracket]

The Thunder earned the automatic bid to this year's tournament after claiming back-to-back Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships and posted their second-straight undefeated regular season.

Trine will be making its fifth overall trip to the NCAA postseason and posted a 1-1 record last year with a 63-24 win against Monmouth (Ill.) College in the first round.  Overall, the Thunder are 3-4 all-time in the national tournament with appearances during the 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2017 seasons.

St. Norbert is making its 13th overall NCAA Division III Playoffs appearance and 12th in the last 20 years. The Green Knights are 1-12 all-time in the playoffs, and have won 17 Midwest Conference football titles since joining the league for football in 1984. St. Norbert's last NCAA Playoff appearance came in 2015.

The game between the Thunder and Green Knights is set to begin at noon next Saturday (Nov. 17).  Stay tuned for ticket ticket and additional info.
