Eric Ravellette was hired in January of 2012 as the Thunder's offensive line coach and run game coordinator and also now serves as a co-offensive coordinator.

During the 2013 season, Ravellette coached offensive lineman Taylor Sprague to multiple All-American honors. Under Ravellette, Thunder offensive lineman have earned All-MIAA honors 11 times. Trine produced the best rushing offense in the conference in 2013 and 2017. He has coached a first-team all-conference selection in each of his seasons as a member of the Thunder coaching staff.

In 2016, the Thunder produced two All-MIAA offensive lineman. Ravellette's work with the OL and as co-offensive coordinator helped produce the 23rd-best run game in the nation.  The Thunder averaged 243.2 yards per game which was the best rushing attack in team history at the time.

Ravellette helped guide the Trine offense to another record-setting season in 2017 as the Thunder led the MIAA in total yards per game (475.0), total rushing yards (3,955), rushing yards per game (329.6), total offense (5,700 yards) and scoring (44.3 points per game).  Nationally, Trine's 329.6 yards per game on the ground ranked fourth most in NCAA Division III.  In addition, Trine's offense ranked in the top-10 in the nation in team passing efficiency (3rd - 186.7) and scoring offense (6th - 44.3 ppg.).  

Two players earned All-MIAA honors as offensive lineman in 2018, including one player who garnered All-Region accolades in Andrew Hagar.  As a unit, the Trine offense ranked third overall in the conference and averaged 434.4 total yards per game, but led the MIAA in rushing with 3,353 yards.  Nationally, the Thunder ranked fourth in rushing offense (304.8 rushing yards per game), second in passing efficiency (182.68), 13th in scoring offense (42.6 points per game) and 42nd in total offense (434.4 ypg.).  Also offensively, the Thunder produced the nation's leading rusher in Lamar Carswell '19 who ran for a school single-season record 2,294 yards and scored a school record 32 rushing TD.  He went on to be named the MIAA Offensive "MVP" and was one of five players to garner All-MIAA accolades (all first-team selections).  He also was named All-American by the American Football Coaches Assocation (AFCA), D3football.com and the Association Press.

The 2019 season saw two players named All-MIAA on offense in wide receiver Seth Boggs and lineman Noah Routson.  Both players earned second-team recognition and both players were part of an offensive squad that averaged 321.9 yards of total offense per game in 2019, including 188.6 yards on the ground which ranked fifth in the conference.  The Trine offense racked up 300 or more yards of offense in five games, including two games of over 400 yards with a season-high 477-yard performance in a win against Finlandia (Mich.) University.

Ravellette previously spent four seasons at Division II Ferris State where he oversaw the Bulldogs’ offensive line and strength and conditioning. Prior to Ferris, Ravellette spent two seasons as the tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator at Division I Southeast Missouri State University.

Ravellette, a Vincennes, Ind. Native, graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2003 where he was a starter for the 2002 team that won the Division I-AA national championship. Ravellette also spent two seasons at WKU where he worked the 2003 and 2005 seasons coaching the tight ends. Between stints, Ravellette served as a graduate assistant at New Mexico State.

Coach Ravellette earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Western Kentucky.
