ANGOLA, IND.-- The Trine men's basketball team will be traveling to Terre Haute to take on Indiana State in an exhibition game, the team announced Monday.

The Thunder and Sycamores will square off Sunday, Nov. 9 at 2:00 p.m. inside the Hulman Center. The game offers Trine the opportunity to face a solid ISU team that won 23 games last season and finished second in the Missouri Valley Conference to undefeated Wichita State. Last year's NIT bid was the Sycamores' fourth-consecutive postseason appearance under head coach Greg Lansing, which included an NCAA Tournament selection in 2011. The meeting will be the first ever between the two schools.

"I would personally like to thank Coach Lansing and Associate Head Coach Lou Gudino for providing us the chance to compete against a first-class program like Indiana State," said Trine head coach Brooks Miller. "This is just another prime example of the opportunities our student-athletes have here at Trine University to challenge themselves at the highest level both on and off the court."

Trine is coming off a third-consecutive winning season and third-consecutive MIAA Tournament appearance under Miller. The Thunder return their top three scorers and four starters from last year's team, including First-Team All-MIAA performer Tyler Good (Swanton, Ohio/Evergreen).

After facing the Sycamores, Trine will open the regular-season Nov. 15 at Heidelberg. The home-opener for the Thunder will come Wednesday, Nov. 19 when they host Elmhurst.
