Good Named Recipient of Robert L. Greim Award

ANGOLA, Ind. –  Trine University basketball player Tyler Good has been selected as the 2015 recipient of the Robert L. Greim Award.

The university award is presented to the senior male student-athlete who best embodies the values of leadership, character, citizenship, scholarship and athletic accomplishment. Good (Swanton, Ohio/Evergreen) was a two-time All-MIAA performer for the Thunder men's basketball team, including an All-MIAA First Team selection in 2013-14. Good has been a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and earned recognition for his work in the classroom on the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court in 2013-14. He graduated Saturday with a degree in sport management.

Good improved from a role player averaging just 11 minutes per game in his sophomore year to lead the team in scoring and earn his All-MIAA First Team honors as a junior. During that campaign, he averaged 15.2 points per game and led the team in assists at a rate of 2.8 per game. He averaged 12.5 points per contest to earn All-MIAA Second Team honors as a senior, while often drawing the assignment of guarding the top perimeter player on opposing teams.

Over the course of his career, Good scored 790 points while shooting 43 percent from the field. He ranks eighth in points, sixth in rebounds and fifth in free throws made in the Division-III era (2005-present) at Trine.

A team captain during the 2014-15 season, Good also demonstrated leadership in the community as a volunteer with challenger basketball teams for children with special needs. Good also participated in the team's efforts in volunteering with the Steuben County Humane Society. He also served as the team's Student-Athletic Advisory Committee representative for one year.

Good is a member of Chi Sigma Alpha, a national college athletics honor society. He also received the Excellence in Sport Management Award from Trine's Ketner School of Business.
