ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Trine University men's basketball team has released its 2018-19 schedule.
The Thunder will take the court in front of the home fans 13 times, including a span of five consecutive home games prior to opening conference play.
The regular season tips off with a home matchup against Illinois Tech on Nov. 10 at the MTI Center.
The non-conference home slate also includes home games against Baldwin Wallace, Heidelberg, Great Lakes Christian, Spalding and a second meeting against Illinois Tech. Trine wraps up non-league play with a holiday break trip to Alliance, Ohio to take part in the Mount Union Holiday Classic hosted by the University of Mount Union on Dec. 28-29. The Thunder will face Thomas (Ky.) More in their opening game on Dec. 28 and will then take on host school Mount Union to wrap-up the two-day event on Dec. 29.
MIAA play opens Wednesday, Jan. 2 against defending conference tournament champion Hope. The conference slate once again includes two matchups with every MIAA foe, one at home and one on the road.
Trine finished last season 12-14 overall and placed in a tie for third in the MIAA with an 8-6 mark in league action. The Thunder have appeared in the MIAA semifinals each of the last seven seasons under head coach Brooks Miller.
