Trine Men’s Basketball Completes Summer Camp Season

ANGOLA, IND. -– The Trine University men's basketball program concluded its great run of basketball camps last week by hosting over 350 campers throughout the summer months of July and early August. The Thunder held a total of five camps which included three days of team shootouts, the annual Hoosier Boy's Basketball Camp, and the Thunder Elite Camp. A total of 22 teams and 165 individual day campers visited campus and played in the MTI Center.

"We are incredibly grateful to President Brooks and Assistant Vice President for Athletics Matt Land for providing a vision and strategy for a successful camp season," head coach Brooks Miller said. "The protocols that we put in place allowed us to create a safe camp environment for everyone involved. We would not have been able to provide these opportunities without the efforts of our administration and the support of the Angola community."

Precautions including: sanitizing balls, chairs, and other equipment, masks, gloves and social distancing when not competing combined with daily screening procedures were instituted to ensure the safety of athletes and staff members.

"Our coaching staff is extremely proud to represent such a unique and special place like Trine University.  Our summer camps are a vital aspect of our program as we believe it is essential for the development of our young students to have the ability to learn new life lessons and build relationships outside of the class room.  We are grateful to everyone here at Trine who contributed to a successful camp season." Miller said.
