ANGOLA, IND. -- Trine University men's basketball player Nick Bowman (Angola, Ind./Hamiton Southeast) has been named to the D3hoops.com "Team of the Week" for the second time this season.
The Thunder continued the season with three more victories this past week against Kalamazoo (Mich.) College, Alma (Mich.) College and Olivet (Mich.) College and improve to 12-0 on the year.
In three games, Bowman averaged 25.3 points per game and shot an impressive 63.8 percent (30-of-47) overall and 50.0 percent (seven-of-14) from the three-point line. Additionally, Bowman also shot 75.0 percent (nine-of-12) at the free-throw line. He turned in performances of 17 points against KZOO, 24 points against Alma and a career-high 35 points in the Olivet game.
Bowman averaged 4.3 rebounds per game and had 16 assists to go along with 19 steals.
For the year, Bowman leads the MIAA, and ranks 14th in NCAA Division III, in scoring at 24.1 ppg. He also leads in field goal percentage (60.1 percent), steals (47) and is second in assists (36). Bowman also ranks third on the team in rebounding at 4.2 boards per game.
Trine is scheduled to host Calvin (Mich.) University on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at the MTI Center. The MIAA contest is set for a 7:30 p.m. start.
