Trine Men's Basketball Gets Three All-MIAA Honorees

FREELAND, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) has released the recipients of the men's basketball All-MIAA awards, with three Trine University student-athletes listed.

Nick Bowman [Angola, Ind. / Hamilton Southeastern] was named First Team All-MIAA for the second consecutive season. Bryce Williams [Archbold, Ohio / Archbold] received Second Team All-MIAA honors for the second time in his career, while Mitchell Geller [Huntington, Ind. / Huntington North] becomes a first time All-MIAA winner on Second Team.

Bowman was second in the league in scoring at 18.7 points per game and led the MIAA in steals with 71 credited to the senior in 2021-22. His 71 steals are good for ninth in all of NCAA DIII. In 25 games this season, he has brought in a career-high 4.7 rebounds per game and is distributing 2.0 assists per game. From the field, Bowman is shooting 47.9% overall.

Williams, who's season was highlighted by tying the school record with 11 made three's at Kalamazoo last week, has made 78 shots from beyond the arc this season, the fifth-most in the program's NCAA DIII era. He has made the 15th most three-point field goals in NCAA DIII and led the MIAA as well. His 42.2% three-point percentage is second in the conference. Williams wrapped up the regular season as the team's second-leading scorer at 11.3 points per game.

Geller received his first All-MIAA accolade of his career after shooting 55.7% from the field this season, good for second in the league and the third-highest mark in the NCAA DIII era. The senior forward netted a career-high 23 points at Calvin earlier this season and averaged 9.7 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. Geller added 16 starts in 25 games this season, a career-high.
