Doug Williams joined Coach Miller’s staff in 2011 after serving four seasons as an assistant coach at Archbold High School in Northwest Ohio for Doug Krauss. Williams brings over thirty-five years of coaching experience to the Thunder staff as both a head coach and an assistant at the high school and college levels. Williams began his relationship with Coach Miller back in 2005 when they worked together at Hillsdale College under then Head Coach Ed Douma.

Coach Williams has been instrumental in leading teams to or near the top of their area in most defensive statistics while being a part of five conference championships, five district championships and three regional runners-up.

Williams has left his mark on the Trine program as the team has ranked among the MIAA leaders in scoring defense in each of his seasons as an assistant. The Thunder most recently led the conference in scoring defense and steals during the 2014-15 season.
