FORT WAYNE, IND.-- The Trine men's golf team placed sixth in the St. Francis Invitational, held Friday and Saturday at Brookwood Golf Club.
The Thunder totaled a score of 307, 19-over par. Brandon Snell (Maumee, Ohio/Maumee) and Graham Bennett (Charlotte, N.C./Mallard Creek) carded the best scores for Trine, shooting a four-over 76 to finish in a tie for 15th. Snell's score was four strokes lower than his season average entering the tournament. Mount Vernon Nazarene took home the team championship with a score of 292 (+4). Charlie Phillips of Mount Vernon Nazarene shot a four-under 68 to take home individual medalist honors.

Nolan Eli (Genoa, Ohio/Genoa) carded his season-average of 77 to finish third among Thunder golfers. Corey Bremigan (Russia, Ohio/Russia) rounded out Trine's scorers with a score of 78.
Trine will host the AC Eddy Invitational this Wednesday, Apr. 9 at Zollner Golf Course. The tournament tees off at 1:00 p.m.
