TRINE GOLFERS THIRD AT MIAA JAMBOREE #2

ADRIAN, Mich. - At the second MIAA Jamboree of the season, the Trine University men’s golf team placed third with a team score of 303. Overall after two rounds, the Thunder remain in third place with a season total of 624, three shots behind the new leader Adrian College.

Hosted by Adrian and played at the par-71, 6,284 yard Lenawee Golf Club, Calvin took the team honors with a score of 298. Kalamazoo’s David Smith took the individual medalist honors firing a 1-under-par 70.

For the Thunder, sophomores Bryce Moore (Richmond, Ind./Richmond) and Brandon Snell (Maumee, Ohio/Maumee) led the way shooting rounds of 75 each to finish in a tie for eighth. Sitting in a tie for 12th was another sophomore in Cody Knapp (Liberty Center, Ohio/Liberty Center) shooting a 76 for the day. Senior Graham Bennett (Charlotte, N.C./Mallard Creek) finished tied for 18th carding a 77 in the round. Rounding out the team scoring for the Thunder was senior Nolan Eli (Genoa, Ohio/Genoa) who finished the afternoon with an 80 to finish in a tie for 31st.

Playing as an individual for the Thunder was junior Mike Reynolds (Wolcottville, Ind./Prairie Heights) who carded an 80 to finish tied for 31st.

Trine will compete in the third Jamboree of the year hosted by Olivet on Sept. 18 beginning at 1 p.m.
