THUNDER FINISH SIXTH AT MIAA JAMBOREE #4

ALMA, Mich. - At the fourth MIAA Jamboree of the season, the Trine University men’s golf team took sixth place with a team score of 311. Trine remains in fourth place in the MIAA season standing with an overall score of 1250 with Hope still leading with a combined 1226.

Played at the par-72, 6,615 yard Pine River Country Club, Calvin and Hope tied atop the leaderboard with 300’s on the day. The individual medalist honors would also be shared between Hope and Calvin players who shot even-par-72.

Leading the way for the Thunder was Corey Bremigan (Russia, Ohio/Russia) who shot a season-best 75 to finish in a tie for 8th. Senior Graham Bennett (Charlotte, N.C./Mallard Creek) cared a 77 on the day to finish in a tie for 18th. In a tie for 26th was sophomore Bryce Moore (Richmond, Ind./Richmond) shooting a 79 for the round. Rounding out the team scoring for the Thunder were sophomores Connor Dwyer (Coldwater, Mich./Coldwater) and Cody Knapp (Liberty Center, Ohio/Liberty Center) with rounds of 80 to tie for 29th.

Playing as an individual was sophomore Kevin Berry (Holly, Mich./Holly) who recorded his best Jamboree round of the year shooting a 76 to finish in a tie for 14th.

Trine will get right back on the course as they travel to Defiance College for their Fall Invitational on Sept. 22 beginning at 9:30 a.m.
