Thunder Tie for First at Jamboree

ANGOLA, Ind.  - In the sixth MIAA Jamboree of the season, the Trine men's golf team tied for first place with Calvin as both teams finished with a score of 288. The Thunder moved ahead of Adrian in the overall standings with a total season score of 1839. Calvin now leads the conference with 1826 while Hope is second at 1832 with two Jamboree's remaining.

Hosted on Trine's own par-71, 6,384 yard Zollner Golf Course, Hope's Winton Munch took the medalist honors with a 3-under-par 68.

Senior Graham Bennett (Charlotte, N.C./Mallard Creek) led the Thunder with an even-par 71 to finish in a tie for fourth. Sophomores Corey Bremigan (Russia, Ohio/Russia) and Connor Dwyer (Coldwater, Mich./Coldwater) tied for ninth with rounds of 72 on the afternoon. Sitting in a tie for 11th was senior Nolan Eli (Genoa, Ohio/Genoa) after shooting a 73 for the round. Sophomore Bryce Moore (Richmond, Ind./Richmond) wrapped up the team scoring for the Thunder with a 79 to finish in a tie for 34th place.

Sophomore Cody Knapp (Liberty Center, Ohio/Liberty Center) played as an individual for the Thunder, carding a 74 to finish tied for 14th.

The next MIAA Jamboree will be hosted by Hope College on Oct. 3 beginning at 1 p.m.
