ANGOLA, IND.-- The Trine men's golf team has announced its 2014 fall schedule, the team announced Monday.
The Thunder have 11 matches on the slate for the fall season. The season begins Aug. 29-30 as Trine competes in the Olivet College Invitational at Bedford Valley Golf Course in Marshall, Mich. Last seasn, Trine earned a berth in the MIAA National Qualifier after a strong season. The Thunder placed second in the spring Qualifier and produced two All-MIAA performers. The team won three tournaments between the fall and spring seasons.
The MIAA season will once again be composed of eight Jamborees, with each conference school hosting one round. The top four teams will advance to the MIAA National Qualifier in the spring, where they will compete for a bid to the National Championships. The Jamboree hosted by Trine is slated for Sep. 27.
The non-conference season also includes a trip to the Speiss Invitational, hosted by Defiance College. The Thunder will host the Venturi Invitational Sep. 24 at the Zollner Golf Course.
