Bremigan Wins Medalist Honors at MIAA Jamboree

ALMA, MICH.-- Corey Bremigan earned individual medalist honors to lead Trine to a second-place finish in the MIAA Jamboree at Alma, held Saturday afternoon at Pine River Country Club.

Bremigan (Russia, Ohio/Russia) fired an even-par 72 to earn his first-career win in an MIAA event. The junior's previous-best finish in a MIAA Jamboree event was a tie for eighth on the same course played this afternoon. As a team, the Thunder carded a score of 300 to finish one-stroke behind Hope. The MIAA Jamboree at Alma was the first of eight Jamboree events that make up the MIAA fall season. The four teams with the top cumulative eight-round scores advance to the MIAA National Qualifier Tournament in the spring to compete for an automatic-qualifying bid to the National Championships.

Connor Dwyer (Coldwater, Mich./Coldwater) and Grant Klopfenstein (Howell, Mich./Hartland) each shot a three-over 75 to finish tied for seventh. The score marked the best round of Klopfenstein's Trine career.

Brandon Snell (Maumee, Ohio/Maumee) contributed Trine's final score that counted towards the team total. The senior carded a 78.
