GRAND RAPIDS, MICH.-- The Trine men's golf team placed third in the MIAA Jamboree at Calvin, held Monday at Watermark Country Club.
The Thunder finished with a score of 304 (+16). Leading the way was Cody Knapp (Liberty Center, Ohio/Liberty Center), who finished with a 74 (+2). The round was two strokes better than his season-average. The Thunder held on to second place with the performance, 11 strokes behind first-place Hope and 13 ahead of third-place Calvin. Paced by individual medalist Evan Telzerow, Hope won the Jamboree at Calvin with a team score of 297 (+9).

Michael Reynolds (Wolcottville, Ind./Prairie Heights) finished second among Thunder golfers with a 75. That was good enough to tie for ninth-place overall.
Connor Dwyer (Coldwater, Mich./Coldwater) and Brandon Snell (Maumee, Ohio/Maumee) rounded out Trine's top four with a 77 and 78 respectively.
There are just two rounds of play left in the MIAA fall season. The MIAA Jamboree at Hope will be played Thursday, Oct. 2 at Wuskowhan Players Club in West Olive, Mich. before the season concludes Oct. 7 with the MIAA Jamboree at Olivet.
