WEST OLIVE, Mich.-- Cody Knapp earned individual medalist honors as the Trine men's golf team tied for second in the final MIAA Jamboree round, held Tuesday at Wuskowhan Players Club.
Thunder golfers combined for a score of 300 to finish in a deadlock with Hope in the final round. The performance locked up a third-place finish in the MIAA standings for Trine. The Thunder finished 25 strokes back of first-place Hope and 20 strokes behind second-place Calvin. Trine locked up a chance to compete for an automatic-qualifying bid to the national championships as the Thunder will once again be one of four teams competing in the MIAA National Qualifier in the spring.
