Thunder Place Fifth in SFU Cougar Invitational

FORT WAYNE, Ind.-- The Trine men's golf team placed fifth in the SFU Cougar Invitational.

The Thunder finished 27-over par with a score of 315 in round one on Friday, before round two was cancelled due to inclement weather. Austin Tevlin (Edwardsburg, Mich. / Edwardsburg) led the way with a three-over 75. He finished two strokes back of the three individual leaders. The performance was good enough for fourth. Trine was the lone NCAA Division III team competing in the field, which was made up of NAIA performers. NAIA No. 23 Taylor University won the team title with a score of 305 (+17).
