Men's Golf Places Third in Kalamazoo Invitational

PORTAGE, Mich.-- The Trine men's golf team placed third in the Steven Tyler Intercollegiate, hosted Monday at Moors Golf Club.

Connor Dwyer (Coldwater, Mich. / Coldwater) tied for third individually to lead all Thunder golfers. The senior carded a four-over 76 to earn the finish. Trine golfers combined for a score of 313 on the day (+25) for the third-place finish in the 13-team field. The Thunder finished five strokes back of first-place Hope College. Winton Munch and Ben Kramer tied for medalist honors with 74s to pace the Dutch.

Cody Knapp (Liberty Center, Ohio / Liberty Center) finished one stroke behind Dwyer with a 76. That performance was good enough to tie for fifth individually.

Austin Tevlin (Edwardsburg, Mich. / Edwardsburg) and Corey Bremigan (Russia, Ohio / Russia) rounded out Trine's top four. Tevlin shot a 79, while Bremigan carded an 81. Grant Klopfenstein (Howell, Mich. / Hartland) rounded out Thunder golfers with an 84.

Trine will host the A.C. Eddy Invitational tomorrow on the links of Zollner Golf Course. The event is scheduled to tee off at 1 p.m.
