Thunder Close Out Fall at Lourdes Invitational

SYLVANIA, Ohio -- The Trine men's golf team closed out its fall season with a sixth-place finish in the Lourdes Invitational, hosted at Sylvania Country Club.

Thunder golfers combined for a score of 339 (+51) on the day. Dillon Kreutzer (Antioch, Ill. / Antioch Community) led the way with a nine-over 81. The sophomore tied for 14th overall. Kreutzer's efforts tied a career-low in varsity play.

Freshman Todd Mieske (Owosso, Mich. / Owosso) finished just behind with an 82. Mieske concluded the fall with an average round of 78.67, fourth-best among Thunder golfers.

Rounding out Trine's top four were Grant Konkle III (Jackson, Mich. / Lumen Christi) and Alex Simpson (Calgary, Alberta), each with 88s. Robert O'Rourke (Bronson, Mich. / Bronson) rounded out Thunder golfers competing in the event.

Today's performance was Trine's last tournament action of the fall season. The Thunder placed fourth in the MIAA. Trine will compete in the MIAA National Qualifier in the spring, the winner of which receives an automatic-qualifying bid to the NCAA Division III National Championships.
