PIERSON, Mich.—The Trine men's golf team placed fifth at the Knight Invite on Tuesday afternoon at the Pilgrim's Run Golf Club.
Calvin College took first place in the team race shooing 12 over-304.
Nick Knowlton (Bridgman, Mich./Bridgman) and Todd Mieske (Owosso, Mich./Owosso) tied for 16th place shooting seven over-80.
Kade Hoeksema of Hope College was the individual medalist with a score of one under-72
Grant McKay (Las Vegas, Nev./Coronado) tied for 25th scoring 84. Tying for 35th was Joe LeSueur (Northfield Center, Ohio/Trinity) at 13 over. Grant Brettnacher (Brookton, Ind./Harrison) tied for 39th at 14 over-87.
The Thunder will be back in action tomorrow when it plays host to the Gettig Match Play Invitational at 9 a.m. at the Zollner Golf Course.
