NORMAN, OKLA. -- Trine University sophomore Grant McKay (Las Vegas, Nev. / Coronado) has been named to the Division III PING All-Region team by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
Over the course of the 2017-18 season, McKay averaged a team-low 73.6 strokes and was named to the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) all-conference second team during the fall.
Recently McKay competed in a local qualifier for the U.S. Open, finishing second and qualifying for a sectional qualifier to compete for a spot at the 118th U.S. Open. He will take the links again on Monday, June 4 at the Lake Merced Golf Club and The Olympic Club in Daly City, Calif.
