HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) has named senior Mark Civanich of the Trine University men's golf team as the Athlete of the Week following his performance at the Region V Preview last week.
Civanich tied for fourth overall with a two-day total of 149. He turned in a 75 in the first round and shaved one more stroke off his scorecard on day two with a 74 at the very tough Warren Golf course on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. An eagle highlighted his day in round one and he collected four birdies in total in second round action.
This is the second time in the 2023 fall that Civanich has been tabbed MIAA Men's Golf Athlete of the Week and the seventh time in his career he was won the award.
