Men's Hockey Falls to Adrian

ADRIAN, MICH. - The Trine men's NCAA hockey team was defeated this evening by nationally-ranked Adrian College by the score of 8-1.

The Thunder fell behind in the first period, as the Bulldogs tallied the first two scores of the contest. But Trine would not enter the first intermission scoreless as in the 19th minute of the period freshman forward Carmine Taffo (Staten Island, N.Y.) found the back of the net for the second time this season. The Thunder would enter the first intermission trailing the number two team in the country by just a goal.

Through the rest of the game the Bulldogs would pull away. Scoring six more goals in the contest without surrendering another to the Thunder.

Trine falls to 0-7-1 on the season following the defeat, while the Bulldogs improve to 5-1. The Thunder will face Adrian once again, in a non-conference competition, on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 7:05 p.m.
