BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- Trine University men's hockey sophomore Josh Hinderliter (Wyandotte, Mich.) was named one of the defensemen in the D3hockey.com Team of the Week. This week's award which covers all games that took place during the winter break, from December 10 through January 1. Hinderliter becomes the first Thunder skater to be named to the team.
Hinderliter led the way offensively in Trine's win over SUNY Canton on Saturday, Dec. 29. He tallied an assist on each of the team's goals to finish the game with a team-high three points. The win was a big one for the Thunder as they dominated the final two periods of play to come away with the 3-0 victory over the visiting Kangaroos.
Trine currently sits at 4-8-1 overall and 2-6 in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA). They will take the ice again on Friday, Jan. 4 when they host King's (Pa.) College for a 7 p.m. contest.
