Men's Hockey Foiled by Raiders

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Host Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) scored first and last as the Trine University men's hockey team dropped the game by the score of 4-1.

Following a penalty by the Thunder at the end of the first period, MSOE started a man up in the second period and took advantage just 29 seconds into the period.

Trailing 2-0, Trine found themselves with a power-play opportunity of their own at the nine-minute mark the period. They also quickly took advantage later in the same minute when sophomore defender Josh Hinderliter (Wyandotte, Mich.) recorded his second goal of the season. Both freshman Brent Jones (Brighton, Mich.) and sophomore Michael Meisenbacher (Basking Ridge, N.J.) added assists on the goal.

Less than a minute later however the Raiders responded scoring a shorthanded goal and pulling two goals ahead at 3-1 and held that lead into the second intermission.

They iced the game in the 19th minute of the final period with an empty-net goal.
