Bulldogs Overpower Men's Hockey

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Trine University men's hockey team traveled to face nationally-ranked Adrian College in a non-conference contest. The Thunder came up short falling in the game by the score of 8-1.

Trine fell behind early in the contest allowing a goal in the opening seconds of the game. They ultimately surrendered four goals in the opening stanza.

The Bulldogs added another goal in the second and again to start the third to take a 6-0 lead.

The Thunder came up with their lone goal of the contest in the ninth minute of the third period. Freshman Brendan Prappas (Barrie, Ontario) came up with the goal, his fourth of the season. Junior Corey Robertson (South Lyon, Mich.) and freshman Justin Meers (St. Charles, Mo.) came up with assists.

Adrian came away with the final two goals of the game taking the contest 8-1.

The Thunder fall to 6-5 overall following the loss. They will continue their season on Friday, January 3 when they host Lake Forest College. The game is a return to Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play and is set to start at 7 p.m.
