FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Trine University men's hockey team outshot their hosts from the Fredonia State University, but ran into a hot goaltender and fell in the contest by the score of 4-0.

Right from the start the Thunder applied ample pressure to the opposition's goaltender. In the first period they posted double the shots on goal (16) of the Blue Devils (8). In fact, they would double up the opposition in all three periods, 15-6 in the second and 19-10 in the third. Overall the team finished with 50 shots on goal compared to 24 by Fredonia.

Senior Garrett Hallford (McKinney, Texas) led the way offensively for the team recorded eight shots on goal by himself. Coming in second was freshman Tyler Shetland (Laguna Hills, Calif.) who finished with five.

Despite the lopsided shot totals, the Blue Devils kept the Thunder off the board while finding success in the offensive end. They would score their first goal in the ninth minute of play and then added another goal in the first and two in third to finish the game with a 4-0 advantage.

Trine falls to 2-1 overall following the loss. They will look to bounce back by facing off with Fredonia again tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 6. The game is set to start at 4 p.m.
