Wilson Northey was named assistant coach of the Trine University men’s hockey team in October of 2023.

“Wilson is a great example of perseverance and dedication,” said Todd, “His time at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point included not only a national championship and two years as team captain, but also recovery from a serious injury.

Northey comes to Trine directly after concluding his career at Stevens Point. While there he was a five-year member of the men’s hockey team, including during the 2019 undefeated national championship season. It is the only undefeated season in NCAA Division III history.

He secured both a Bachelor of Science with dual majors in marketing and management and a Masters of Business Administration during his time at Stevens Point. During the summer he worked with Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the marketing department.

“He is exactly the type of person I want around the students at Trine,” concluded Todd, “I know his personal experience will help this team climb in the rankings.”
