ANGOLA, IND.-- The Trine men's lacrosse team has announced its 2015 regular-season schedule, with six home games highlighting the action.
The Thunder will play three conference and three non-conference games in front of the home fans at Zollner Athletic Stadium next spring. The 2015 season opens Saturday, Feb. 28 at Augustana (IL). The schedule currently features 12 contests, with the potential for another game to be added. Trine is coming off a season in which the team tied for third in the MIAA with a 3-3 league mark, and finished 4-12 overall. The Thunder produced four All-MIAA performers, including First-Team midfielder Chris Ward (Oak Lawn, Ill./St. Rita) and First-Team defender Jordan Backer (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville).
The home-opener for the Thunder will come Wednesday, Mar. 11 when they host Oberlin. Trine will also host Muskingum (Mar. 21) and Baldwin Wallace (Mar. 25) in non-conference games. The home portion of the conference slate consists of three-consecutive home games against Hope (Apr. 4), Alma (Apr. 8), and Calvin (Apr. 14).
After opening the season at Augustana, the Thunder will head west to face Colorado College (Mar. 5). Trine will also travel to Wilmington (Mar. 14) for a non-conference game. The MIAA road slate will be made up of trips to Olivet (Mar. 31), Albion (Apr. 18) and Adrian (Apr. 22).
