HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – Junior Collin Custer has been named this week's Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Men's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week following a pair of strong outings this past week.
This is the first time in his career that Custer has taken home the weekly award and one of the first two times this season that the team has earned the honor.
Custer began the week with four goals and an assist against Cornell (Iowa) College. The season high performance led the way to a 19-3 victory for the team. Then on Saturday, Custer posted three goals and an assist as the team battled through frigid temperatures to defeat visiting Carroll (Wis.) University by the score of 13-1.
All told for the week Custer finished with seven goals and two assists. He led the team in goals and was tied in points at nine.
The Thunder are currently 6-0, the second-best start in program history. They are scheduled to travel to face Ohio Northern University on Wednesday, March 22 at 7 p.m.
