GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The Trine University men's lacrosse team traveled to DePauw University for their sixth game of the season, falling to their hosts by the score of 8-3.

A couple of early penalties hurt the Thunder in the first period, with the Tigers scoring twice with a man advantage. The 2-0 deficit lasted into the first break.

In the second DePauw built their lead to 3-0 with their first even strength goal of the day. Trine finally got on the board with just over three minutes remaining in the half. Noah Markus scored the goal with Peter Piccillo adding an assist. The 3-1 score held into halftime.

The third period saw the home team pull away from the Thunder, scoring three unanswered to make the score 6-1.

In the fourth the two teams matched each other in the scoring battling to the 8-3 final. Charlie Anderson and Mason Levin both scored for the Thunder with Jackson Bell getting on the scoresheet with an assist.

Jack Konicek had a strong showing in the faceoff circle, win nine times out of 14 chances in the game.

Trine falls to 3-3 following the loss. The team will look to bounce back on Wednesday, March 13 when they travel to face Otterbein University. That game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
