ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University men's rugby team will return to the field for the 2024 portion of their schedule with five tournaments, playing 7's at all of them.
They open the spring this coming weekend, on Sunday, February 4, by competing in the Pitt Dome 7's tournament hosted by the University of Pittsburgh.
After an extended break, the Thunder begin their road to the National Collegiate Rugby 7's Nationals by heading to the University of Notre Dame's Fighting Irish Tournament on Saturday, March 23. Next, they travel to St. Louis, Mo., where the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy will host the 2024 Prescription 7's Tournament on Saturday, April 6. Finally, they will stay in state, heading to Indianapolis for the Big Rivers Conference 7's Tournament, hosted by Marian (Ind.) University.
If they team qualifies, they will finish their spring season by heading to Boyds, Md., just outside of Washington DC, for the 2024 National Collegiate Rugby 7's championships tournament. That event is set to begin on Friday, April 26 and will run through Sunday, April 28.
