ANGOLA, IND.-- Two second half goals lifted Olivet to a 2-0 victory over Trine in MIAA-action Tuesday afternoon at Weaver Field.
Zach Schulz and Chase Dunn accounted for the Comet goals, as Olivet outshot the Thunder by a 20-5 margin. Ryan Grashik made four saves to earn the shutout. Chris Stewart (Rochester Hills, Mich./Rochester) notched five saves for Trine. The Thunder fall to 4-10-1 overall, 1-8 in the MIAA. Olivet improved to 7-7 overall and 5-4 in conference play.
Schulz scored his seventh goal of the season on a long play-ahead by George Petty just over 11 minutes into the second half. Dunn added a breakaway goal after a long pass from David Magallon with 4:56 remaining in the contest.
Trine returns to action this Saturday, Oct. 18 when they host Adrian at 2:30 p.m.
