ANGOLA, Ind.-- The Trine men's soccer team has released its schedule for the 2015 season, the team announced Wednesday.
The 20-game regular season begins with seven games that will be played on the road or at neutral sites. Included among that stretch is tournament action at Illinois Tech and Franklin. The Thunder will face Marian (Wis.) and Illinois Tech in Chicago Sep. 5-6 and will take on Franklin and Transylvania at the Daniel Schuetz Community Classic, hosted by Franklin College (Sep. 12-13). The season begins Tuesday, Sep. 1 with a road contest at Defiance. The non-conference slate also includes a trip to Hanover.
All of Trine's home action will come in conference play, as the Thunder will once again play home and away contests against every MIAA school. Highlighting the home league slate are Saturday matches against Adrian, Calvin and Alma.
Trine concluded last season with an overall record of 5-14-1. The Thunder placed eighth in the MIAA with a 2-11 mark in conference action. The team expects to return over 75 percent of its scoring production from last season.
