Men's Soccer Falls to Earlham

RICHMOND, Ind.- The Trine men's soccer team dropped a close 1-0 contest to Earlham on Saturday afternoon.

The game was scoreless after one period, but at 84:37 in the second half Earlham's Bret Marshall scored unassisted to seal the victory.

Junior Brec Musselman (Noblesville, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) led the Thunder's offense with four shots. Sophomore Kurt Wysocki (Avon, Ohio/St. Edward) notched three shots. Junior William Macedo (Elkhart, Ind./Elkhart Memorial) was in goal for the Thunder making three saves.

Earlham's Taylen Alexander and Peter Kashatus split time in goal. Kashatus made two saves. Earlham totaled 16 shots to Trine's 11.

Trine will play host to Defiance on Wednesday, Sept. 7 for its first home game of the season. The two teams will play at 7:30 p.m. at the Zollner Athletic Stadium.
