Trine Men's Soccer Falls to Adrian

ADRIAN, MICH.  --  The Trine University men's soccer team traveled to Adrian, Mich. to take on Adrian College in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association game, but fell to the Bulldogs, 2-0.

It took until the 62nd minute of the second half for either team to break a scoreless tie which went in favor of the home team as Adrian (9-5-2, 8-3-2 MIAA) scored a goal that came off of a free kick to grab a 1-0 lead.

Almost a minute-and-a-half later, the Bulldogs struck again with another goal during the 63rd minute to extend the margin to 2-0.

Trine (5-6-5, 3-6-4 MIAA) was held scoreless the remainder of the half allowing Adrian to go on to the 2-0 final.

In goal for the Thunder, freshman Quinn O'Brien (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North) started the game and played 72:11 and allowed two goals while posting five saves.  Fellow freshman Tyler Zigler (Terre Haute, Ind./North) played the final 17:49 and gave up no goals and had no saves.

The Thunder will wrap-up the regular season at home against Alma (Mich.) College on Saturday, Oct. 28 at the Weaver Soccer Field.  The game is scheduled to begin at 2:30 pm.
